I didn’t arrive at design through a conventional path.

I grew up around the machines, materials, and problem-solving of my mother’s cut-and-sew shop. Later, as a Green Beret, I learned that good equipment is never simply an object—it can influence performance, build confidence, and change the outcome of a mission. Those experiences shaped how I see design today. How function is not a feature added at the end. It is the foundation.

Since then, I have earned a master’s degree in industrial design, built multidisciplinary teams, founded LEANDER and VAREN, and helped companies transform early ideas into thoughtful, production-ready products. My work crosses soft goods, hard goods, textiles, injection-molded components, hardware, and manufacturing—allowing me to consider the entire product rather than one isolated piece of it.

I work best with founders, product teams, and companies that care deeply about what they are building but need the experience to move it forward. Whether we are defining an opportunity, solving a stubborn design problem, developing a prototype, or preparing for production, I bring the same mindset to the work: understand the problem, remove what does not belong, and execute every remaining detail with intention.
